Many opera fans judge singers by the craziest of criteria. Sorry, but most of them just don't have a clue about profession. Opera singers, even the consistent of divine voices, are just human. You can do everything right, and simply be dealt cards that have your cords be rather stiff as you approach...

I honestly think plenty of sex and sensuality can be communicated through costumes without having to flaunt genitalia on the opera stage. Does it TRULY add something?

No concert with more than one singer involved can do without "Libiamo, libiamo". Everybody is singing it, bassos, baritones, mezzo-sopranos... just as if there was no other imaginable encore in all operatic literature.
