I fully agree with you Geoff about Winderlich and Bjorling. I am a little less enthusiastic about Caruso. He owed his prominence to his luck in starting at the same time as recording and having a voice which recorded well on the equipment together with the American love affair with large voices. I do not deny his greatness his just not one of my favourite singers.
I am a little intrigued about the comment on Wunderlich not being 'controversial'. Eh?!!
