Just came across this tenor, who has won Operalia in 2016 among other contests.
I hear a lot of promising things, a solid voice, with quite a good balance, vocal stamina, control, but also quite a lack of refinement. What does one hear about him?

tenor Keonwoo Kim
Re: tenor Keonwoo Kim
I have not heard him until now. Nice voice which, at this stage, lacks recognition quality. I particularly liked his sound in 'A mes amis' where it was less spread sounding. He sings 'Je crois encore' in the modern fashion a bit can belto. I prefer the techniques of Tino Rossi and Alain Vanzo in this one (I have gone outside your examples LaGioconda, sorry).
He does a creditable job of 'Comfort ye'. His pronunciation in the different languages, that he sings in, will improve with time although I personally think that English and French are quite tricky to sing in if you are not native to them.
I find that many of the male Korean singers have this slightly spread tone so I will be very interested to see how he progresses over the next eight years or so.
