Vocal brilliance can mean many things. Is it interpretation? Is it power? Is it coloratura ! We all have our opinions. For instance the sheer stupendousness (is that a word?) of Franco Corelli as Cavaradossi, Radames or whatever; the whistle-stop soprano of Tebaldi as Tosca, Aida (even Mimi); the sheer delight of Crespin, or Lucia Popp (Der Rosenkavalier). I could go on and on. However, I do appreciate vocal agility. How about this and the stupendous Kathleen Kim ?
