Sorry I stayed away from this topic for so long. I am out of state for several months, but once I'm back home, I'll try to post a sample of my voice.
In the meantime, I tend to agree with LaGioconda. The examples provided tended to feature singers with light voices. Mine isn't that light, especially for a tenor. Not pushing the voice with more volume than needed is probably what I am doing. In all the vocal teachers I've had, nobody every told me, "You're singing too loud, concentrate on support, not volume". Of course, they all mentioned support, but none of them equated more support with cutting back on volume.
